As part of its development in France, the company is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager France to lead and support all HR operations across both its retail network and corporate office. Based in Paris, you will play a key role in implementing the local people strategy and in fostering a fair, engaging, and high-performance work environment.
Job mission
- Provide effective HR support to the organisation in all HR-related matters
- Deliver first-class service in areas including facilities, travel, benefits, company cars, and general team support, ensuring high standards are maintained
1. HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations
Act as a key point of contact for managers and associates on all HR topics
Provide first-line support on policy and procedural questions, escalating where needed
Coach and support managers on issues such as absence, disciplinaries, grievances, maternity, flexible working requests etc
Apply employment law knowledge effectively to meet business needs while ensuring fair and consistent practices
Ensure Right to Work checks are carried out and probation reviews are completed
Ensure process is monitored and followed for all sickness absence – all forms returned and formal process instigated if required
2. Talent & Organizational Development
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, assessment, offers through the recruitment portal
Oversee new starter and leaver processes including onboarding/offboarding, contracts, reference checks, exit interviews, IT process, payroll and Workday updates
Support talent management cycles, including performance appraisals
Identify training needs and coordinate L&D actions in line with business needs
Ensure learning agreements are in place for all company-funded qualifications
Partner with the EMEA HR team on regional HR strategy rollouts
3. HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure flawless HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
Maintain Workday system with up-to-date information.
Communicate payroll updates to Head Office (meal vouchers, benefit in kind, transport, salary changes, etc).
Manage ad hoc system processes e.g performance appraisals
Maintain legal notice boards and electronic/physical filing systems
Track HR budgets and raise Prior Approvals
Undertake HR projects as required
4. Culture, Engagement & Social Impact
Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and DE&I initiatives
Actively contribute to company culture and act as HR ambassador
Coordinate charity, community and volunteering events
Organize and support local culture and team activities
5. Facilities, Health & Safety, and General Support
Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are in place and monitored for the office and remote workers
Administer local employee benefits (including meal vouchers)
Support local management team when needed
Manage office security, including keyholder processes and building access
Ensure third-party contractors sign confidentiality agreements, conduct their own risk assessments, and carry appropriate insurance
Expected profile
Profile
👉 4-8 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP, in Office/Facilities Management (ideally in retail and/or corporate environments)
👉 Confident self-starter: able to use initiative, work independently, prioritise and remain calm under pressure
👉 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted working relationships
👉 Effective communicator, both verbal and written, with an engaging and assertive style when needed
👉 Enthusiastic team player with a continuous improvement and learning mindset
👉 Committed to the values of Teamwork, Integrity, and Total Customer Satisfaction
👉Bilingual in French and English (written & spoken)
Skills
👉 Strong knowledge of French employment law and HR compliance
👉 Excellent organisational and planning skills; detail-oriented and results-driven
👉 Workday or HRIS experience preferred; strong proficiency in MS Office
👉 Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements
👉 Experience managing end-to-end recruitment and operational HR processes
👉 Ability to follow through on projects and deliver within agreed deadlines
👉 Skilled in supporting cross-functional HR initiatives and process improvements
