Skills
👉Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of building strong relationships both internally and externally
👉Previous experience in sponsorship sales is not required; prior sales experience will be highly valued
👉 Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage
👉Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade effectively
👉High emotional intelligence with a natural ability to connect with others and navigate complex stakeholder relationships
👉 Demonstrated ability to work across diverse countries, cultures, and time zones
Missions.
Reporting to the commercial leadership of Volleyball World, the Senior Partnerships Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in a growing global sports organization. He or she will work closely with key stakeholders, brands, and partners to contribute to strategic commercial decisions and will have the unique opportunity to shape the commercial success of volleyball worldwide.
1. Lead sponsorship development and sales execution
Proactively source and engage potential sponsors for Volleyball World across various categories and regions
Select and qualify prospective sponsors, securing in-person meetings with key decision-makers at leading global brands
Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives and commercial leaders
Collaborate with the team to execute competitive sales processes and successfully negotiate high-value sponsorship agreements
2. Drive strategic commercial growth
Support the development of sales strategies by contributing market insights, category trends, and commercial feedback
Identify new business opportunities across different markets and sponsor categories
Influence and persuade decision-makers at the highest levels, aligning their needs with Volleyball World's sponsorship opportunities
Navigate complex cultural and time zone differences while working across international markets
3. Build and nurture stakeholder relationships
Develop trusted, long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful partnership outcomes
Work collaboratively across departments to deliver integrated sponsorship solutions
Build a global network of sponsors, clients, and industry contacts
Represent Volleyball World professionally at meetings, events, and commercial presentations
Localisation, date of arrival & compensation.
Volleyball World's headquarters is located in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Remote work arrangements may be discussed based on role requirements. Regular presence at the office and travel for client meetings expected.
Start date as soon as possible.
Type of Contract : Permanent contract (CDI equivalent).
